Jonathan commenced his articles with Duboff Edwards Schachter in June 2019 and became an associate after his call to the Manitoba Bar in June of 2020. Jonathan primarily practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.

Jonathan obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia Peter A. Allard School of Law. He is the recipient of the B Vincent Reed QC Award for academic distinction and community service, the David Roberts Prize in Legal Writing, and the Blake Cassels & Graydon Prize in Labour Law. Prior to law school Jonathan obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg and was awarded the International Development Studies gold medal.

Jonathan believes in the importance of community service, and has volunteered and worked for a number of charitable organizations. He currently volunteers for United Way and sits on the boards of the Lake Winnipeg Foundation and SAM Properties, a non-profit social housing organization.
