Neil Duboff

Neil Duboff is the managing partner of Duboff Edwards Schachter Law Corporation.

Neil began his professional career as a bank manager before choosing to pursue a law degree. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1985.

Neil’s practice is focused primarily in the areas of business transactions, Corporate Structuring, Acquisitions and Financing and Aboriginal Law with an emphasis on taxation, trusts, governments and associations. Neil acts for financial institutions, governments, universities, non-profit organizations and First Nations administrative and business interests across the country.

Neil regularly addresses conferences and seminars throughout Canada and has been a frequent instructor of courses in first nations taxation, trusts and estates.

A native Winnipegger, Neil recognizes the importance of being involved in his community, currently serving as a trustee of the City of Winnipeg Pension Plan, Chair of the board of the Saint Boniface Hospital Foundation and as a director of the Saint Boniface Hospital and the Arab Jewish Dialogue.

Previously, Neil served as Chair of the Regulated Health Care Professions Counsel, the President of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, the President of Jewish Child and Family Services; as a director of the Manitoba Public Utilities Board, the Winnipeg Convention Centre, The Sharon Home Nursing Home, the Winnipeg Humane Society, the Native Association of Trust Officers, the Children’s Hospital Research Foundation and the Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools.

Neil received a B.A. (Honours) in Economics and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Society Trust and Estate Planners (STEP).
