Over the next decade, Neil would be joined by several partners — first Harley Schachter and then by Paul Edwards. All three came from either large or traditional firms, and all three believed they could serve their clients in a new, smaller firm by focusing on practical, effective and innovative solutions to help their clients achieve their goals.
Today, Duboff Edwards Schachter has grown in size and stature, adding partners, staff and associates, but it still embraces its commitment to dedicated client service. That vision of a nimble, client-centric approach is also supported by the type of lawyer that is asked to join Duboff Edwards Schachter. The firm places an emphasis on attitude and integrity when hiring associates.
Our firm is cognizant of our responsibility to the community. Each partner and associate is involved in numerous non-profit and civic organizations. In addition, our staff are encouraged to volunteer and get involved in our community.
The firm was honoured to win the 2020 Corporate Ally Award by the Manitoba LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes a corporation or business which makes a significant positive impact for Manitoba’s two-spirited and LGBTQ communities whether it be their partnership in events, community engagement, or their workplace.
