Beth is a corporate and commercial lawyer who provides strategic, practical guidance to help businesses grow and operate with confidence. She advises individual shareholders, private corporations, non‑profits, and charities on corporate structuring and governance, tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales, and financing. She also supports First Nations in advancing their business and economic development goals through advice on corporate development, partnerships, and tax matters. Beth has a particular interest in working with new entrepreneurs and supporting them as they build and scale their ventures.
Since joining Duboff Edwards Schachter following her call to the Manitoba Bar in 2016, Beth has developed a reputation for clear communication, thoughtful analysis, and a solutions‑focused approach. She graduated first in her class with an LL.B. from the University of London and previously worked as an editor after completing her journalism degree at Ryerson University.
Beth is an active contributor to her community, having served in multiple executive roles on non‑profit boards, including as Chair of S.A.M. Holdings Inc. and its subsidiaries, which manage thousands of affordable housing units in Winnipeg. She has also taught Business Law in the University of Winnipeg’s Financial Management program. In addition to her professional and community commitments, Beth balances a full family life as a mother of two.
