Beth Edwards

Associate

Beth practices primarily in the area of corporate and commercial law. She provides individual shareholders, private corporations, non-profits and charities with practical advice on a broad range of business law matters, including corporate structuring and governance, tax, mergers and acquisitions, sales and financing. Beth also represents the business interests of First Nations advising on corporate development, partnerships and tax law.

Beth became an associate at Duboff Edwards Schachter after her call to the Manitoba Bar in June 2016. She graduated in first place with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from The University of London in June 2014. Prior to law, she worked as an editor after graduating from Ryerson University’s School of Journalism.

Beth is committed to community service and has served on non-profit boards in all executive roles, most recently as Chair of S.A.M. Holdings Inc. and its subsidiaries, which own or manage thousands of affordable housing units in Winnipeg. She has also taught Business Law in the Financial Management program at the University of Winnipeg.
